Two-hour Public Session

Swing by with your four-legged friend for a mini session (approximately 10 minutes) during a two-hour public photo session. Walk-ins are welcome.

Choose between a 5×7 or 8×10 digital print. A digital negative of your chosen print is also included. You can also purchase additional prints that were taken during your session through the website provided here.

Private Dog Portrait Session

I will bring my 10×10 studio and set it up in the convenience of your home.

The two-hour private session can include black and white or color photos of your dog, you and your dog, or your family and your dog.

You can also create a mini public dog portrait session and invite friends with their dogs. Split the cost and all walk away happy.

You get a personal website for 30 days where you can select your pictures. Session includes 15 digital negatives.

Sled Dogs

Race Team Portraits

Get professional dog portraits of your race team, tour team, house dogs and even the occasional cat. I come with a 10×10 studio set up and take black and white dog portraits of all the athletes in your dog yard.

You get a personal website for 30 days and 1-2 digital negatives of each dog/pet.

Min of 20 dogs, up to 4 hours

Cost: $15/dog and $50 set up fee

Dog Yard or Trail  Session

This photo session is done using natural light.  I can capture images of your dogs in the dog yard, at their house, or free roaming in a puppy pen.

Or I can capture photos of your dogs in the team out on the trail. Much like a checkpoint photo. Portraits of your dogs are captured when they are lined out and jumping at the harness at their happiest and least shy.

You get a personal website for 30 days and 1-2 digital negatives of each dog.

This is a two hour, on location, session.

Mushing Tour Photographer

Find your own Magic

My partnership with The Last Frontier Mushing Co-Op brings together some of my greatest passions– And it lets me share that with you. Book an Aurora Tour with the Co-Op, and I’ll capture your adventure. Coverage includes interaction time with the sled dogs and getting geared up in the sled. Photographer will not follow on the sled. At the end of your trips you get to pick your top 5 favorite digital photos. Additionally, if you have your own digital camera, basic aurora photography lessons available.

For an additional $75 you also get:
10 additional digital negatives
2 8×10 prints

Alaska Pet Portraits

Whitney Mclaren is a professional photographer based in Fairbanks, Alaska. She owns eight dogs, two cats and loves mushing, hockey, archaeology and spending time with family and friends. She has been an official photographer for the Yukon Quest Sled Dog Race since 2014.
